Description:

46-51cm - long white neck and dagger like bill. Males more colour and plumeage on the head than the female.

Habitat:

Large shallow inland lakes. Sometimes nests on slow flowing rivers.

Notes:

Perform an elaborate courtship display. The first picture shows the male, the second the female then the third is the pair together.
