Callistephus Chinensis
I found it in the garden of old DIET, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India.
Editing info: 1. According to species ID suggestion by AshishNimkar.
Hm? @ Ashish: in western romania and hungary people know the name Öszi rozsa (= autumn rose) as Callistephus sp
:) ok then: Öszi rozsa, and I translated it myself into English
Monkey mind you can type it in Hungarian it will be better as Google Chrome had easy translator.
I didn´t mean Gerbera - I don´t like those- the hungarian Name is translated: autumn rose, and definitely is Callistephus sp. They are my moms favourites.
Wow..Monkey mind its nice to know this flower's popularity.
But check names for Banquet flowers are used. Like different named Gerbera.
I know those too, in Romania it is also vastly cultivated, usually bought for some celebrations (mostly sad ones :(, but also as an everyday bouquet)
I never sensed an odor on them

@Emma.. You truly recognized them. They are mild fragrant, but like odd odor.
In India I saw Blue, Pink, Purple, Maroon, Yellow, White shades of this flowers.
I do remember these as being fragrant though and in multiple colors of which white and yellow are very popular.
Yes..@Emma....you obviously recognized these flowers...we call it just Aster flowers only..
But I do not mind...I come here for learning...by the way this is our household flower. Mostly used(for distribution) in Women's traditional get-together.
