Description:

Plains Pricklypear. Low mound of spiny, flat nearly oval joints.Flowers: 2-3" wide, with many petals on upper edge of joints. Spines: 2-3" long, 6-10 per cluster. Height: 3-6" tall.

Habitat:

Open areas on plains, Southwest desert and among pinon and juniper
