Archaeoprepona amphimachus amphiktion
Everything OK with BOA, Sergio. In Brazil there is an Archaeoprepona amphimachus amphimachus, Archaeoprepona amphimachus pseudomeander and Archaeoprepona amphimachus symaithus. You do not have Archaeoprepona amphimachus amphiktion in Brazil.
wow!!!! what an amazing creature ... i think its better if you could change the last pic as the first one.....
And these spottings (yours and mine) bring up an interesting question: Butterflies of America cites that Archaeoprepona amphimachus amphiktion's range goes from Mexico to Colombia. That is around 5.000 Km from where I found mine! Maybe BOA should change that info?
Thank you bayucca. Your links helped a lot. No doubt it is an Archaeoprepona amphimachus amphiktion
Nymphalidae, Charaxinae, Preponini, Archaeoprepona sp. and looks like being Archaeoprepona amphimachus amphiktion.
