A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Illeis galbula
A very active, 5 mm long beetle with bright yellow elytra that had three "bat-wing" shaped black patterns across.
Spotted under bright lights in a suburban garden.
It's a pity I could not get a shot of the head.
The adults and larvae of these beetles feed on black mold and fungus on plants.
Family: COCCINELLIDAE
