Green Frog

Hylarana erythraea

Description:

Common green frog here in Malaysia. Or we call it Katak Pisang/ Banana Frog. Green body, black stripes at the end, brown legs, external eardrums. Body oval, tail tapering near the end to a narrow tip.

Habitat:

Common in rice fields. It is only found in disturbed habitats, living in rice fields, artificial ponds and swamps

We call this common green frog (Rana erythraea) in the Philippines. Used to capture some of this in the field.
