Giant Peacock Moth

Saturnia pyri

Description:

Giant Peacock Moth male and female mating. They were as big as my hand palm. Great Peacock Moth, Giant Emperor Moth or Viennese Emperor.

Notes:

Looking at some old pictures to send to a friend, I found those ones back :) I was really impressed to, first, see a couple of Giant Peacock Moths, and second, right in the middle of the afternoon! I wish I had a better camera, back in the days. You can see more of my photography @ http://www.ansermoz-photography.com Or follow me on Facebook :) https://www.facebook.com/ansermozphotogr... . Take care!
