Sri Lankan Frogmouth, known also as Makkachikkada in local Malayalam language.Spotted at Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary,Thattekkad,Kerala.
Did not know that there were any in India. We have one (Tawny Frogmouth) sitting on a gum tree in our back yard this very minute - the australian ones appear slightly sturdier. Hope you get to see one in the wild -thanks
