female Banded garden spider

Argiope trifasciata

Description:

I know I already have several spottings of wasp spiders - but the females are becoming really big (body 4 cm long, insect with legs about 7 cm) and spectacular - here some pics, I enjoy them so much - even though they really are ugly, and frightening.

Habitat:

garden, tall grass and bushes

Notes:

Taka I agree what Wiki page seen. I marked specie on basis of Spider's abdomen not on basis of its availability.

Argiope is right, but Argiope trifasciata is a species of North America, and not of Europe. In Europe we have Argiope bruennichi.

Ok thank you Ashish!
