Description:

Freshwater fish that are brownish green in color when viewed from land, they were about 3 inches for the small ones and 5 or so for the big ones. They swam in a big school right off shore and stayed there. They both had dots on the sides of their faces

No problem. It looks to me like they are all bluegills, large and small alike.
