Lynx rufus
Bobcat scat can resemble old Coyote scat. The differences are the Bobcat has blunt ends and more of a sheen to it. When broken apart, a white powder releases called blood meal. It's also a little segmented. This spotting is after it's been broken apart to show the tiny bones inside. The Bobcat can be seen at: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/165... and the tracks at: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/211...

Definitely! What made me laugh while learning how to differentiate between Bobcat and Coyote was if there's still question after the clues I mentioned above, you can poke it with a stick and smell it. If it has an overall canine smell (apparently everyone knows what this smells is), it's coyote. If it's an overwhelmingly foul odor, it's Bobcat! I wouldn't advise this method with any scat as many animals carry disease.
Yuck.
