Description:

Dark crown and nape forming helmet, back grey, and chest cream with black spots

Habitat:

Coastal beaches, marshes, prairies

Notes:

This peregrine is a non releasable education bird living at Audubon Center for Birds of Prey. She had just finished receiving her yearly health check. Peregrines are only found in Florida during the winter migration (October- April). They also do not nest in Florida, the only falcons who do are Kestrels and Caracaras.
