Wow that's cool! I've never seen a moray eel in such shallow water, that's really neat! You should add that info to your description, it's really interesting :)

Great spotting, this guy is a moray eel and specifically the highfin moray. It's also sometimes called the yellow-line or mottled moray! Very interesting that you saw him in the sediment rather than hiding somewhere in the reef.
