Red-eared Slider

Trachemys scripta scripta

Description:

Turtle approximately a foot long. Likely female. Yellow shell interior and patterns along hind legs. Yellow patterns also visible along the head and red ear .

Habitat:

Turtle sitting on log resting in slow-moving bayou. Shallow waters approximately 2-3 feet deep. Very thick algae covering much of the surface of the water. Water resting behind Cinco Ranch suburban neighborhood.

This is a red-eared slider, you can very clearly see the red 'ear'. Also, please adjust the location on your map, thanks
