Empty shell of dragonfly nymph

Beautiful!

that is the empty shell of a dragonfly - you are right.
those insects live as nymphs in the water, hunt there other insects and also frogs and little fishes, then they climb up a plant above the watersurface to hatch as a ready and adult dragonfly.

Yes, I believe it is the empty shell of a dragonfly nymph. I've been seeing a lot of these around the pond at my work.
