Black-headed gull

Chroicocephalus ridbundus

Description:

A man and child were out feeding the birds at the University lake which gave me great chances to practice shooting the birds in flight as they came low and swooped around. More a case of pointing and clicking into the ensuing frenzy that resulted, still, I am more than pleased with the results.

I added the extra photo of near enough just the gulls wing.

I have never noticed how beautiful their wings can be before I took these. Which reminds me, I think I may have one of just its wing somewhere. It flew just out of frame leaving its wing in shot, I'll add it to the bunch!

That is a nice advantage to have. Wonderful wings!
