Porthidium nasutum
These poisonous snakes are no longer than a meter. They forage for frogs, lizards, insects, and small mammals. They come in a variety of colors, this one is brown with orange coloration which works well blending into the forest floor.
Mostly found on the forest floors within leaves.

I LOVE SNAKES...I LOVE COSTA RICA'S (PURA VIDA) SNAKES
Yeah me too, yikes! That would be very interesting to study if it were true :) Thank you for your help Yasser!
No problem! I'm just glad their aren't poisonous vipers gaining a stronghold in Pennsylvania :) (Although part of me would think that would be very cool.) In this situation, you can try to make your location a close estimate of where you spotted this snake. Let us know if you have any other questions and again thanks for sharing this awesome spotting!
And your welcome :)
The station in Costa Rica where I had spotted it is not found on the map, opps!
I believe Porthidium nasutum is only found in Mexico and further south. There is a harmless Eastern Hognosed snake (Heterodon platirhinos) that looks a lot like the snake in your photo and could be found in your area. Did you manage to grab any other photos? Great encounter and thanks for sharing!
Thank you. This was my first encounter. Amazing!
Very cool!!
