Description:

About the size of an accipiter like a Cooper's Hawk, but narrow wings and distinctive facial markings.

Habitat:

Rural high plains shortgrass prairie with cholla cacti, some very scattered, planted trees.

Notes:

One bird seen atop a utility pole. Map location is somewhat approximated, near the intersection of Peyton Highway and Squirrel Creek Rd.
