Hippopotamus

Description:

The hippopotamus (Hippopotamus amphibius), or hippo, is a large, mostly herbivorous mammal in sub-Saharan Africa, and one of only two extant species in the family Hippopotamidae (the other is the pygmy hippopotamus).

Habitat:

Seen along the Kazinga Channel between Lake George and Lake Edward.

Haha Neil, and so BIG! I had a tent 20 meters from the Nile River in Murchison Falls, with a bit of grass in front, and in the night I would hear them grunting, then spashing into the river. Think they were eating the grass.
