well myth and truth lol. wooly bears are fine. they might nibble on your hand, but there are some caterpillars that will ruin your day so i wouldnt touch if you're not sure.

I'd vote, myth. I grew up playing with these little guys and my kiddos play with them now. No itches here! :)
