Spotted Owlet

Description:

The Spotted Owlet is small and stocky. The upperparts are grey-brown, heavily spotted with white. The underparts are white, streaked with brown. The facial disc is pale and the iris is yellow. There is a white neckband and supercilium. Sexes are similar.

Habitat:

A common resident of open habitats including farmland and human habitation.

At the same place where I had spotted a single owl in Feb 2011, I found a family of 5 in Oct. 3 hid when I removed the camera while 2 gave a nice pose.
