Acanthus-leaved Thistle (Carlina acanthifolia All., 1785) is a perennial herbaceous plant with large inflorescences that lives mostly at ground level, and belongs to the Asteraceae family. Solitary, stemless flower heads with yellowish inner involucral bracts.

Habitat:

Mountain meadow.
