Description:

Mass of lily caterpillars (Noctuidae) decimating my swamp lily (http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/705...).

Habitat:

Observed in a large semi-urban yard/garden next to a patch of disturbed remnant forest; on Crinum asiaticum.

Notes:

Voracious caterpillars inflicted heavy damage on this fine swamp lily specimen in less than one day.

It'll be a shame if it doesn't recover, it's a lovely plant. Here's hoping it pulls through.
