Tulipa gesneriana hybrids

Description:

Vibrant colored flowers, cup shaped. Stems are single flowered. Flower buds are tight and do not show color. Leaves are fleshy and have a bluish-green color with parallel veins.

Habitat:

I found these examples in a cultivated garden in Colonial Williamsburg mixed in with other spring blooming flowers along a fence.
