Spotting

Description:

Clustered with a few singles on the tree. Cannot see from picture, but the mushrooms stems range from 3inches to 6.5 inches tall. Scaly stem. The spores appear to be rusty brown and almost inky. Smooth cap surface once cleaned. With low umbo. Equal to slightly downwards stalk shape. Couldn’t find veil.

Panther Creek State Park

Mushrooms growing under the bark.
