Boring Brown Bolete

Boletus subtomentosus

Description:

Get to be about 3 - 4 inches tall. Velvety brown cap. Tan pore surface. Brown stem.

Habitat:

Under oaks.

Notes:

These really are boring. They're good to eat, but they have no distinctive taste. I will try to get more pictures as they mature.
