Yellow Oriental Paper wasp

Polistes olivaceus

Description:

Its a wasp also known as the common yellow wasp of India. The typical upside down umbrella nests are noticed on walls and trees around. They generally don't sting unless disturbed.

Habitat:

Nests found on walls and trees mostly. Sometimes fly into home even at night attracted to light bulbs.

Notes:

I also noticed that although they are generally non-aggressive, they can be provoked into defending their nests.
