Thank you Alice. The feeder this woodpecker goes to is suction cupped to my window, so no ants. These guys just like the sugar water... as well as watermelon, apple, sunflower seeds, and they go to the "watering hole" I put out for the critters.
Excellent picture! Could there also be ants around the sugar water?
