I wanted to link these spottings together because I think they are the same species. Amazing how this was in Ecuador and mine was in Gabon.

Geometridae would be your starting point, I would search within that family to see if you can find it. I have spent the last twenty minutes going through them, however there are hundreds of entries here:

means meter in english... I consulted a biologist and said q larvae are common in the family and at least in the same genre
