Pagoda Bagworm

Description:

Conical. leaf-like.

Habitat:

Kayaler bagan or Kayal's garden is now a bird sanctuary in the heart of Kolkata city. Although called a garden, it is not a landscaped area with only garden varieties...rather everything growing wild is preserved.Old, epiphyte laden trees rub branches with bamboo groves and wild vines trail all over . So called weeds flourish. It is also called Chintamani Kar Bird Sanctuary. ...a 17 acre small enclosed area.

Notes:

I recognised it ONLY because I had seen shots on PN. Thank you, PN.

Thank you maplemoth. The best part about quite a few of my spottings is that I saw the species first on PN and thought how wonderful and then, a little sadly....I will never see it....and one day, out of the blue....it (or a close relative) was there!!!
