Here is a list of bats found at Los Padres National Forest: http://lpfw.org/about/critters/bats.htm

Of those bats, we can narrow it down to possibly a Big brown bat. It doesn't have 'long' ears, and it isn't one of the lasiurines or free-taileds. It also appears to be bigger than a myotis bat.

Did it eventually fly off?
