This spider was in the Home Depot garden center in Pleasanton, CA. The web was located too high for me to get photos of the entire abdomen. The abdomen to head length was about 1in. I do not know what it was eating. Any help with a specific species ID would be great.

Thanks Cindy--it is the first one I have ever spotted. At first I thought it was an ordinary garden spider. I love the pattern too.
