Lichen Long-Horn Beetle

Description:

This is the most remarkable little Long-Horn I ever saw. It's thorax and elytra are so like pieces of moss and lichen that it is impossible to see it unless it moves. Just amazing camouflage. I haven't been able to find one in print that is similar. It is about 8 mm long. Family Cerambycidae.

Hi Lauren,
when I read your words I thought: "may science have overlooked it?"

We had such a case recently on NaturaLista:
http://www.inaturalist.org/observations/...

Yours, however, turned out to be a known species :-)
