Don't apologise! Do you really think so? I had a good look at it and decided you were probably right. These two species do share a lot of characteristics but O.apifera has an 'extended and sigmoidly curved apex to the column' It's a little bit blurred in your photo, but I think it's extended and curved.
Hello Marion & welcome to PN! Excellent choice of first spotting. My first thought looking at this was that it was O.scolopax but I think that's because the O.apifera here in the UK tend to be more consistently broad at the base of the labellum. Beautiful photo & really looking forward to seeing more from you.
