Great Silver Water Beetle Larvae

Hydrophilus piceus

Description:

Brown fat and chubby grub like creature with claws at his head in the front and also some tentacles at his tail. It wobbled its way over the path. It moved by bopping its body up and down. It was fast! When it turned over it had a few legs in the front of his body and two legs at the end.

Habitat:

On a path near fields with water and cows. In Bokt near Son en Breugel, Noord Brabant

Notes:

It was a very fast bopper!
