Unknown mushroom

Notes:

Taking a spore print of mushrooms, photos 3 & 4, should make it a lot easier to find a positive ID. I still haven't decided on a name for this one. However the spore print is beautiful. It was growing on a rotting willow stump in my lawn. There is a collar on the stipe and dark spots on the cap. The gills are cinnamon. A very handsome mushroom!

So the mature mushrooms of this species are quite flat and dark brown. I couldn't get a photo because of the pouring rain. This might help with an ID!

we haven't started hitting the frost temps yet.

Thanks! We had frost here last night so I think most of these beauties will be gone. I am going on another mushroom foray tomorrow anyhow, just to see what effect the frost has had.

these are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I will be watching for and looking for the name of these.
