Osprey

Description:

18-24" long. Strong hooked beak and talons. Very bird of prey looking.

Habitat:

Shoreline. Often seen sitting on high perch above water.

Notes:

Lots of osprey in and around the intracostal waterway where we live. But this is the closest I've ever been to one. Took with iPhone out car window. He didn't spook until I finally opened the door and tried to get even closer.
