Walking on a trail around a beautiful natural lagoon in the mountains of Costa Rica
choose missions at the top of the Noah page, choose local, choose the mission blue que tiene un cameron del rio color azul morpho!
Robert, today I created a mission for the color blue. Although new missions are only allowed to have a 300 mile radius the intent is global. Can you join the mission and add your blue spottings? Thanks!!!
good point! i mean, not that im going to run into enough blue mushrooms to make a salad anyway! thanks!
I have no idea! I only have read it in the wikipedia, but I prefer not to eat wild mushrooms at all because I'm not fungi expert :)
Thanks Noe n Pili! I had no idea it was edible! great! any recipe suggestions!!?
Great photos. Oh, I see Alex is in demand. Now I feel bad that I just asked for help. He could be out mushroom hunting too instead of helping us here. Thanks always Alex. :)
no problem, btw beautifull specimen/spotting. go on like this , and if you find another fungi, which need identifcation, try to get as much features as possible : cap / gills-pores / stem / all together / cap-surface / back/under- ground...... etc. it will help by the determination.!! cheers
Thank you all for your compliments! Yes! I agree, it does look hand-painted, I thought the same when I saw it! Walking back I noticed some IDIOT had stepped on it, but the underside looked awesome too so I took the second picture! Can anyone help me ID it please? This was not in Chirripo, it was in the mountains of El Empalme, mid-south side of the country. Gorgeous area! I will post a picture of the lagoon!
Ohh I love blue mushrooms! They are so unusual. I almost never use a blue pencil in drawing mushrooms. Good find!
