American White Ibis

Eudocimus albus

Description:

As the name suggests, the adults are all white excluding the bill, skin around eye, and feet. They stand about 1 foot high. Juveniles are mostly brown with a few white blotches, and belly.

Habitat:

Coastal areas, fields, marshes, and gold courses.

Notes:

Was probing the ground for grubs and other invertebrates.
