A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Lithobates catesbeianus
This one was huge at least by Washington state standards. He or she chased away a couple of other frogs that got into its space. Then it decided to go rest on its favorite perch.
Spotted in one the back water swamps at the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge.
Bullfrogs are an introduced species to Washington state.
