Native throughout the Caribbean, the species is commonly known as blue porterweed or Jamaica vervain. In the Bahamas, called the Voodoo plant or voodoo flower.
You're probably familiar with vervain: the plant in The Vampire Diaries that has the ability to weaken a vampire's strength and protect mortals from their powers. Of course, the use of vervain in this series is purely fictional but we won't really know right? hehe
I'll use Jamaica Vervain Dan because I've been so curious about this so-called Vervain in one of my favorite American series ;-)
