Habitat:

Found in long grass near field edge on a wet morning.

I wasn't smashing it. It was trying to hop away so I was holding it securely but gently. It was released after the photo and was not harmed.

i have alot of Fowlers around here in the summer. i get to watch the babie hop all around. that sure looks like a fowlers toad.
