Washingtonia robusta
Can grow to be 100 ft (30.5 m),. Mexican Fan Palms have: A gray trunk ringed with closely set leaf scars although usually at least part of the trunks remain covered with dead leaves that hang in a thatch. The solitary trunks, about 10-12 in (25.4-30.5 cm) in diameter, bulge at the ground and become slender as they approach a crown of large palmate leaves with gracefully drooping leaflet tips.
Native to western Sonora and Baja California Sur in northwestern Mexico. Frequently it is grown as an ornamental tree.
Growing as landscape at my in-law's condo complex.

Thanks for the tips. I researched it out and they are in that family. Couldn't get a close up of the fronds. I had the small camera and it doesn't do telephoto. I went by memory on how the fronds looked.
That was my guess too lgCostaNut
I think these are washingtonia. without a close up of the frond it is difficult. wait for some other comments before you make any name changes
