Description:

Possibly female lyrebird.

Habitat:

Scratching in leaf litter in the undergrowth of dense forests.

Notes:

This wild specimen has bands on her leg. She is very tame and allowed me to shoot her without any concern.

Yes leuba, I suspected this is a female bird and supposed that any self respecting male would have its tail by now (September).
