Description:

A Fungus Gnat of the Family Mycetophilidae. The very elongate coxae are typical of this family of flies. The first 3 pictures are of the female at about 5 mm in length. The 4th picture is of the male at about 3 mm and the last picture shows a male and female together, about to mate.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
