Common Prawn

Palaemon serratus

Habitat:

Rocky part of the beach.

Notes:

Found these in a deep pond, formed in a rock. They tend to run away from people, yet they are quite curious. As soon as I got my hand in the water they showed up to check what it was and once they saw I wouldn't hurt them, they started cleaning it and playing around my hand, using it as a jumping surface, only to come back again. I simply had to point at them for them to grab on to my finger. It was quite fun!
