More likely a Hierodula of some type if found from around Southeast Asia. The only Sphodromantis species I know of (doesn't mean that it's the only one) that lives outside of Africa is Sphodromantis viridis (introduced to Spain, Portugal, Greece) which I have seen a picture of one from Israel. Hierodula looks kind of similar to Sphodromantis, and some Rhombodera species with small or no shield on their pronotum I think. Sphodromantis tend to be more stocky than most Hierodula from what I have seen, but there may be exceptions with some species from each genus. lol There are 108 species in the Hierodula genus last time I checked on Mantodea.speciesfile.org.
