Brooding Sea Anemone

Epiactis prolifera

Description:

Brilliant orange, striped organism about 3 1/2 cm across. I flipped it over by wafting the water after the second image. You can see how it's hollow and changes shape in the last two images.

Habitat:

Tidepools in La Jolla

Notes:

This was my first time spotting one of these at this tidepool.
