Description:

Also known as Bar-tailed Goatfish, Dark-band Goatfish and Mottled Goatfish. They feed on small fish and invertebrates, and grow to about 30cm in length.

Habitat:

Found singly or in small groups in sand and rubble areas of silty coastal harbors to outer reefs. Widespread in the Indo-Asia Pacific region.
