Description:

This silver-spotted skipper looks like it has led an exciting life so far. Even with extensive damage to the wings, it was still able to fly reasonably well. Here, it's seen hanging upside down on buddleia blooms.

Habitat:

Habitat: Disturbed and open woods, foothill stream courses, prairie waterways. Range: Extreme southern Canada and most of the continental United States except the Great Basin and west Texas; northern Mexico.

Spotted in a backyard flower garden in Kennesaw, GA
